Flux the Film
Flux combines manual drawing with digital technology to create a film with a distinctive hand made and irregular feel.
The images were inspired by watching water and listening to music before each day's work in the studio. The animation was then interpreted back into sound by the sound artist, Micheal Harding into the sound track for Flux.
Flux took one year to trial mediums and ideas, and a second year to draw each of the one thousand or more images. The complexity of each image varied so their drawing time ranged between 30 seconds to 30 minutes each. The images were digitally captured on a stills camera, then edited on a computer. The running time for Flux is 2 minutes and 44 seconds.
Flux is available in a limited edition of 60 hand bound and signed portfolios, 125 x 185 x 22 mm. Each portfolio contains a high definition digital film on a custom made USB as well as 5 fold out stills. Price: $900
Flux is also available in an edition of 200 USB drives. Price:$90.
